Purpose of program: 
Ex: To simulate the appearance of microarray pads from signal intensity data alone
Program requirements: 
List any technical requirements (speed, memory, platform) as well as additional features beyond the primary function

What are the inputs to the program: 
Ex: A tab-delimited spreadsheet of microarray signal intensities with the probe names along the top and temperature along the left side.
What should the program output: 
Ex: A 50 by 50 pixel TIFF file for each probe at each temperature giving an approximation of its appearance.
How should the output be calculated from the input (include references if possible): 
Ex: Make the highest signal intensity a pure white square, the lowest a pure black square, linearly scale between the two for all other values.  Instructions detailing how to linearly scale can be found at
